The War for Cybertron continues and it’s a good thing because this game was awesome!
The surprising hit Transformers: War for Cybertron will be rewarded with a sequel due to come out sometime in 2012. Originally I downloaded the demo and was so impressed, I rushed out trading my Battlefield Bad Company 2 (see BFBC2 rant here) game and joined the Autobots in defending their home planet Cybertron from those pesky Decepticons.
It’s still early for any screens or teasers, but the fact that they are making a sequel is really good news. Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media & Gaming, told Hasbro during an investor conference that,
This is the most highly-rated, critical success of any game that’s had the Hasbro brand yet and we’re looking forward to a sequel in 2012
.
Regardless of the reason, I’m just excited that a sequel is coming. I only wish it was coming in the fall of 2011 when the new Call of Duty, Batman Arkham City games come out. Now THAT would be an awesome fall surprise!
